At Daos Den, every piece you see in our Dubai showroom carries a story — a journey that began far from here, in the hidden corners of rural China.

I have personally travelled through many rural areas of China, and each journey has been eye-opening. From winding village roads to hidden antique shops, I’ve witnessed first-hand just how beautiful these vintage pieces are. Over countless cups of tea and long chitchats with antique shop owners, I’ve not only deepened my knowledge but also made lasting friendships with people who share the same passion for heritage. Every day, every week, something new surfaces — and for me, the thrill of treasure hunting is as much about learning more about my own culture as it is about finding rare pieces.

So I have gathered a team of collectors to travel across provinces like Guangdong and Suzhou, seeking out authentic vintage furniture and décor. These are not just items; they are heirlooms — once treasured, then abandoned, or perhaps auctioned off. We believe such pieces deserve a new life, a new stage where their artistry can be admired once again.

Curated with Care

Each discovery goes through a meticulous process before it earns a place at Daos Den. We study the colouring, the quality of the wood, the condition, and the intricacies of its style. Only when a piece passes all our standards is it carefully wrapped, secured, and sent to Dubai.
