Rose Garden wedding cabinet explained

Where it began!

Every design tells a story. For me, the journey to creating the Rose Garden Wedding Cabinet began not in a studio, but on the road. It started with a long drive from London, crossing through the Channel Tunnel into the north of France. My destination? The land of châteaux — each one a living page from history, filled with art, architecture, and atmosphere.

The Châteaux of Villandry

After visiting two or three châteaux along the coast, I stumbled upon a special one that immediately captured my imagination. The approach alone was unforgettable: before even reaching the entrance, I walked nearly 500 metres through wavering trees, their branches swaying as if guiding me toward something extraordinary.

And extraordinary it was!!!!

“WOW” was the only word that escaped me when the château finally came into view. It was magnificent in scale and spirit, but it wasn’t just the castle itself that mesmerised me. Something else caught my attention — a burst of colour and life that danced beside the stone walls.

The Rose Garden

Not just any rose garden, but a maze of roses in every shade and size, carefully arranged in repeated geometric patterns. At first glance, it felt almost like a defence mechanism — a maze designed to trap intruders. But the longer I looked, the more it felt like an embrace, a celebration of beauty. Every bloom was fresh, radiant, and alive. I couldn’t take my eyes off them.

What struck me most was the height of the roses, rising from the ground with strength and grace. To me, they symbolised life, energy, and renewal. That was the moment inspiration struck: what if I could translate this garden of vitality into a piece of furniture?

That vision became the Rose Garden Wedding Cabinet. A design that carries the spirit of France’s rose-filled châteaux into the home — where heritage meets imagination, and where each detail whispers of growth, colour, and life itself.
